Net Positive Labs supported the Regional Impact Trade Alliance (RITA) as a narrative, strategy, and communications partner, helping transform an emerging vision for purpose-driven regional trade into a coherent set of deployable alliance assets. Working alongside RITA’s founders and partners, we helped shape the initiative’s narrative, codify its strategic framework and field guidance, and develop the communications and digital presence needed to engage regions and partners. The result was a clearer value proposition and a practical set of tools that enabled RITA to move from early momentum toward coordinated execution while preserving its step-by-step, co-created approach.
Trade shapes prosperity, yet it often misses the common good. Meanwhile, climate stress, biodiversity loss, and inequality require coordinated action that can scale faster than nation-states typically mobilize.
RITA (Regional Impact Trade Alliance) is an emerging international civil-society organization. It convenes organized territories to turn locally rooted innovative solutions into interregional collaboration and purpose-led trade, and is developing RIO (Regional Impact of Origin) alongside minimum conditions, governance, and a sustainable economic model.
Net Positive Labs joined as a narrative, strategy, and communications partner, helping make the initiative clear, usable, and ready for outreach while it continued to evolve through co-creation.
As RITA moved from idea to multi-actor process, it needed shared clarity: language, framing, and tools that regions and institutions could use consistently.
The objective was to turn vision into deployable assets, without pretending RITA was already a finished system.
Net Positive Labs supported RITA as an embedded partner, combining strategy, narrative crafting, and hands-on production to keep progress tangible.
Key areas of work included:
Building the Narrative and Positioning
We helped clarify the why regions, why trade, why now story and position RITA alongside existing lanes (ESG/B Corps, SDGs, city networks) by emphasizing executed region-to-region agreements.
Codifying the Strategic Framework
We helped translate emerging thinking into a practical strategic framework and field guide that reduces ambiguity and supports coordinated execution, including:
The goal was usable clarity, not bureaucracy.
Pitch and Teaser Communications
We created pitch materials, scripts, and teaser audiovisuals for outreach and public presentations, and supported ongoing planning and prioritization across working groups and convenings.
Digital Presence: Website
We designed and built the current RITA website as a clear entry point, centralizing the story, key materials, and how to engage.
RITA strengthened its ability to onboard and convene stakeholders with a clearer proposition and a consistent set of assets:
Together, these deliverables helped convert early momentum into execution capacity, while preserving the alliance’s step-by-step, co-created approach.
Turning aspiration into shared artifacts is what accelerates system-building. By crafting a coherent narrative, strategic framework, and deployable communications, Net Positive Labs helped RITA move forward with clarity as a living alliance of regions and impact trade.
RITA feels like a perfect match for Net Positive Labs: the kind of work where purpose is matched by an approach that’s practical, ambitious, and built to scale. We’re especially aligned with RITA’s commitment to make impact happen through real trade and real business; because durable change comes when value chains shift, incentives change, and better deals become the norm (not just when we advocate for them).
Collaborating with this extraordinary group gives us a huge amount of energy and optimism. And we want to say a very explicit thank you to Peter (Tarak) for bringing us into the initiative, and to Rafa, and to everyone who came before us, for the warm welcome, openness, and trust.
