Net Positive Labs partnered with the Digital Serbia Initiative to design and deliver an AI Readiness Programme aimed at helping organisations understand, adopt, and apply artificial intelligence in practical business settings.
Delivered as part of the Digital Serbia Initiative's remAIn Relevant Academy, the programme brought together professionals from leading Serbian organisations, to explore how AI can create meaningful value within their organisations.
Rather than focusing on AI hype, theoretical discussions, or future speculation, the programme was designed around practical application. The objective was to help participants understand where AI can genuinely improve productivity, accelerate innovation, support decision-making, enhance research and analysis, streamline workflows, and unlock new opportunities, while also addressing the governance, organisational, and implementation challenges that come with adoption.
The programme combined strategic context, practical frameworks, live demonstrations, expert contributions, and hands-on exercises. Participants explored the rapidly evolving AI landscape, compared leading tools and platforms, learned prompting and workflow design techniques, examined automation and agent-based systems, and also discussed the data, governance, security, and organisational foundations which are required for successful implementation.
A significant emphasis was placed on application. Teams worked collaboratively on practical business challenges, identifying opportunities to use AI within existing organisational constraints and exploring how these technologies could be integrated into real workflows, decision-making processes, innovation activities, and day-to-day operations. The programme encouraged participants to move beyond experimentation and begin thinking about structured adoption and long-term capability building.
The initiative also featured contributions from leading practitioners working directly with AI adoption and implementation, including Elena Alfaro, Head of Global AI Adoption at BBVA, alongside experts in AI-enabled prototyping, research workflows, and marketing applications. These perspectives helped bridge the gap between emerging technologies and practical business implementation at scale.
